Ways to Give

Why Camp Good Times?

Camp Good Times is the Lowcountry's camp devoted to providing children and adolescents with autism a summer camp experience. We work to foster social skills opportunities, building friendships and raising awareness. We pride ourselves on providing a friendly, safe and fun environment for all of our campers. This experience offer kids exceptional opportunities to enjoy activities and resources that are otherwise unavailable to them. Our counselors are trained to support the needs of our campers, design programs to promote socialization and create opportunities for community involvement. Our camp also helps to raise awareness and provide support to families through programs and workshops for parents held during camp.

Camper fees are minimal and serve to defray the operational expenses of running our camp. A single day of our two-week day camp costs upward of $5,000. This fee includes supplies, staff pay, insurance, facility fees, transportation, training materials and equipment. By providing campers with an intensive staff to camper ratio, our staffing fees are extensive. Further, by enabling campers to travel in the community for trips to local venues, we pay for transportation and gas which is a considerable part of our budget.

With your support, we can continue to offer this unique opportunity for the many children and families in our community touched by autism. Our goal is to expand our camp to increase the number of campers we can welcome and increase the number of days that each child will experience. With one in 150 children being diagnosed with autism, there are many more kids that deserve a fun summer camp experience.

Thank you for your support.
